Hi there!! HAPPY Monday :D
How are you?! Did you have a great weekend?! My weekend flew at lightning speed BUT I got a lot done!! I should have all my Christmas shopping done by tomorrow afternoon :D When all is finished, I'll have some good walking miles recorded...lol! That's not a bad thing!! Today's post is answering a frequently asked question... DO CARBOHYDRATES CAUSE TUMMY FAT? Answer: Carbohydrates aren't your enemy ;) Yes, if you overeat them, you'll gain just as with any other food. But when it comes to weight loss, your total calorie balance is what matters! If you eat more than you burn, the unused calories turn into fat that gets stored in your belly (and elsewhere), regardless of what foods those calories come from. Try to eat mostly complex carbohydrates, found in whole grains and raw fruits and vegtables. Because these tend to fill you with fiber, it's easier to eat them in controlled portions than it is with highly processed refined carbohydrates like white bread, pasta, and rice. Remember that if you eat more calories than you burn, the unused calories turn into fat that gets stored in your belly, regardless of what foods they come from. Have a HEALTHY and PRODUCTIVE couple of days!! SEE YOU on Wednesday!!!
