Happy Friday!!
I hope you've had a happy, healthy, and productive week! Are you ready for the weekend?! I am! As you can see in this photo I posted, so is my little guy :D Bring it on!! Today I'm sharing some ideas to give you extra motivation to work on the goals you've set to achieve! Some days we spend hours checking out inspirational quotes on Pinterest and no time actually doing anything...lol! Following through on our goals we've set is easier said then done, especially when life gets busy and our daily tasks start piling up! With that said, the following are some creative ideas to get those motivational juices pumping!! Vision Board Collages aren't just for little kids anymore! A vision board can be made with any type of board or you can even find a small space on the wall. Put up pictures, quotes, and words that inspire you to think positively and put your goals in the center. Be colorful! Be creative! Go crazy...lol! Place the board where you'll see it every day, like near your bedroom or bathroom. If you're a visual person like myself, a vision board is like candy to the eyes :D Motivational Money Jar With a motivational money jar, you'll get double the payoff when you stick to your goals! Each time you accomplish a goal, put a set amount of money in a mason jar. Before you know it, you'll have enough money saved up to trade it for a reward! Woot Woot!! Need some reward ideas?! I have plenty :D Keep reading and maybe these rewards will motivate you even more...lol! - Buy a new workout outfit! - Get a sports massage! - Get a pedicure! - Buy a gym bag! - Buy a sports watch! - Get a new haircut! - Buy new headphones/ear buds! - Buy a new pair of athletic shoes! - Buy a new water bottle! - Buy a new piece of exercise equipment! - Download some new music! - Buy a new fitness app for your phone! - Go eat at a new restaurant! - Buy some crazy socks! - Buy a fitness magazine or book! The ideas are endless!! Popsicle Stick Workouts When you work out but want to switch things up, try making a motivation jar with fun exercise ideas written on popsicle sticks! You can even color code them based on workout category and put them in a mason jar. Close your eyes and take a pick :) Handwritten Inspiration Jar This allows family/friends to get involved and help you stay motivated! Have each family member or friend write a positive message specifically for you on a small piece of paper and put all of them in a mason jar. Start each day by reading a message! Count It Down It takes 21 days to develop a habit! Put up 21 post-it notes on the wall or mirror. When starting a new exercise routine or even staying on track with your new goals, write them down on 21 post-it notes. There should be 1 for each day. When a particular goal is accomplished, take down the post-it note and do a happy dance :D What do you think of these motivation ideas?! Are you going to try any of them?! Do you have a good motivation idea that you would like to share?! If so, I'd love to hear your comments!! TIP From Pamela: When you want to get some exercise outdoors but the weather prevents you from walking or jogging, go to the local mall! Malls are veritable tracks where you can walk briskly and get many steps and even miles in. Some malls open early just to accommodate walkers. Grab a partner and hit the mall! Monday I'll be posting exercises! I hope you have your goals set and you're ready to start sweating! Have a GREAT weekend!! See you on Monday :)
